Description

This course introduces some key Lean tools and practices used in day‐to‐day management of healthcare organizations. It provides an overview of PDSA, A3, and root cause analysis as a structured improvement method in implementing change, solving problems, and continuously improving processes in the healthcare sector. Gemba and waste walking are also introduced as a method for the identification of waste. Next, 5S, mistake proofing, visual management, and standard work are presented.

Some course materials may reference Leading Edge Group or display legacy branding, reflecting the history of the program. All North American delivery and learner support are provided by the same team that developed the program and are now operating as Leading Edge Associates.

Objectives
